Having chicken for dinner tonight.... anyone suggest a good sauce?

Looks like it;s also affecting Stock.xchng ... the site runs and results are found but when you click the image to download it you get a "image not found". I know getty bought stock.xchange, did they move all the content to the same data center?

Apr 8, 2010 at 19:43 | Unregistered CommenterEvilDaystar

Yes, Stock.Xchng is also affected by what is happening.

Hi Snod Grass - have you tried creamed asparagus? Simply steam a dozen or so stems and blend in a blender with some raw garlic, salt, pepper and three tablespoons of clotted cream. Pour into a small saucepan and simmer on low for about ten minutes, stirring constantly. Add more salt or pepper to taste. So simple, so delicious.

In Calgary the old saying about how "if you don't like the weather wait 5 minutes" is truer than in most other places.

How about giving people who can't get their design work done some sort of a credit? Or a promo code. I've need to finish one design for a client, and i can't get the photos. If I lose the client because of this, who is responsible?

Just thought i'd give an idea for you, how to keep clients happy.

Apr 8, 2010 at 20:06 | Unregistered CommenterBoris

Hey Boris.... Get some perspective! You will be responsible, just ask the client!

On another note to Kneebone's message... I am lactose intolerant, so your cream recipe may not be the best idea! Any recipes that include Mushrooms?

Apr 8, 2010 at 20:11 | Unregistered CommenterSnod Grass

Hey Boris, send me an email: megan AT istockphoto DOT com, and I'll set ya up with something first thing tomorrow morning. Sorry about this! Mother nature really sucks some times.

Apr 8, 2010 at 20:14 | Unregistered CommenterMegan

Hey Megan - can I have what Boris is having? I have a deadline that ends at 4 pm today (Australia time)

Sond Grass: Just replace the cream with half a cup of soy milk (or soy cream if you can get it.)

Apr 8, 2010 at 20:18 | Unregistered CommenterKneebone

I'm sure Megan will take good care of anyone who contacts her regarding this problem. ;-)

Not doing a very good job of burning the midnight oil since your site is down. I would like to go to bed before 3 am. Customers hate waiting for artwork. And this makes me look bad. Ever hear of a generator. Neat little device that creates electricity when the power goes out!! Think about investing in one!!!!!!!!

Apr 8, 2010 at 20:37 | Unregistered CommenterMidnight Designer

Sadly, just hooking up a generator is not the solution.

Apr 8, 2010 at 20:40 | Registered CommenterJay Boehm

Any update or at least estimated time frame of when the site would be back up?

Apr 8, 2010 at 20:47 | Unregistered CommenterSad Designer

I am not saying go to Home Depot for a Honda Generator. They make ones that run small businesses/homes that run off Natural Gas that run seamless when the power goes out is all.

Its my luck I pay for a bunch of credit for a project and then the site goes down. I am know dead in the water waiting!

Make the hamsters run faster!!!

@Midnight Designer It is not the iStock offices that has lost power.

Apr 8, 2010 at 20:51 | Registered CommenterJay Boehm

Yeah, I just can't do much about your deadline... We're trying to get up again as soon as possible. In the mean time, anyone want some snow? :)

Apr 8, 2010 at 20:53 | Unregistered CommenterMegan

What about making a datacenter in a different city/country? :)
